A lesbian-owned company, our founders adopted their daughter three and a half years ago... and yet to this day only one of them has legal status with regard to their little girl. This can be heartbreaking, but it's much more than that: It simply leaves their child with fewer protections. And there's no justification for such inequities, especially when a child's well being can be at stake.
