FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

National Tour of Gay & Lesbian Wedding Expos Soon to Arrive in Salem, MA

Following a dynamic series of Gay & Lesbian Wedding Expos earlier this year, hosted in cities including
Denver, Chicago, Atlanta and Washington DC, RainbowWeddingNetwork.com is returning to Massachusetts to kick off the Autumn season with an event in Salem. The national gay & lesbian wedding resource, Rainbow Wedding Network, has produced over 40 events in nineteen states since 2003, developing the expos out of the company's online successes over the past decade in bridging gay-friendly businesses with the gay & lesbian wedding market. The upcoming 'Same Love, Same Rights' LGBT Wedding Expo is scheduled for Sunday September 26, 2010 from 12:30-3:30pm at the Salem Waterfront Hotel. RSVPs are requested; however, the event is free for the public to attend.

Asheville, NC - Despite the recent disappointment with regard to Proposition 8 in California, the tour of 'Same Love, Same Rights' Gay and Lesbian Wedding Expos is continuing to meet with strong support throughout the nation. With recent expos in Denver and Austin, attracting RSVP lists in the hundreds, the event producers from RainbowWeddingNetwork have now announced a late September date in Salem, Massachusetts.

The Same Love, Same Rights® LGBT Wedding Expo will be held on Sunday September 26, 2010 from 12:30-3:30pm at the luxurious Salem Waterfront Hotel. A diversity of local Wedding-related exhibitors who actively support equal rights in marriage and adoption will participate, as well as those representing the Travel, Gift, Legal, Real Estate and Family-related industries. The event will include Music, Ceremony Tips, Samples & Networking Opportunities specifically aimed to inspire the community's ongoing efforts in seeking greater equality in New England & throughout the nation. Admission is free, and all supporters of marriage rights are encouraged to attend.

"The state of Massachusetts may be one of the forerunners with regard to marriage rights," comments RainbowWeddingNetwork co-founder Marianne Puechl, "yet couples in the Bay State and throughout the country still have not achieved full equal status. Our Gay and Lesbian Wedding Expos provide a backdrop for couples to connect with gay-friendly businesses that wish to work with them respectfully and with joy... and the events also promote a re-energizing of our minority in seeking equal rights and equal treatment."

She continues, "Salem, with its rich history, provides a unique and ideal location. Having learned so poignantly about the importance of honoring diversity, this dynamic city is very receptive to its gay and lesbian citizens. We are excited to be visiting this beautiful and welcoming area with one of our events."

The Same Love, Same Rights® LGBT Wedding Expo will serve as a forum in which advocates and allies, both gay and straight, can communicate and connect with others who seek to end discrimination. Attendees will receive a complimentary Walkaway Bag brimming with valuable contacts for planning their own Special Day, along with fresh ideas regarding upcoming ceremony trends anticipated for 2010-2011. Couples will also be invited to add a photograph to the Commitment Photo Album,™ an ongoing project to document LGBT couples and their families throughout the nation. All same-gender couples throughout the Salem area are encouraged to attend, as well as allies interested in the issues of equal marriage & family rights. The event is free to the public; RSVPs are requested online through the website.

Launched in 2000, RainbowWeddingNetwork.com (RWN) has grown to become the most extensive wedding resource for the gay and lesbian community in the United States. Following the success of its first LGBT Wedding Expo in Minneapolis in 2003, RWN has produced over forty such events in nineteen states throughout the nation. In 2006, the company began publication of the first wedding magazine specifically dedicated to gay & lesbian weddings. An updated version of the main website, offering a high degree of social networking and other interactive features, was launched in 2009.
